Hearing Tests in Belgrade

We provide diagnostic hearing tests for the people of Belgrade and Bozeman. A hearing test is the first step in identifying and managing hearing loss. You will sit in a soundproof booth with a pair of headphones on and listen for a series of sounds. These sounds will vary in pitch, frequency, and volume. Dr. Emberlin will ask you to signal each time you hear a sound, this will be charted on your audiogram.

We will also conduct a speech recognition test to determine if your hearing loss has affected your ability to hear and understand certain words. Dr. Emberlin will walk you through each step of the hearing exam so you feel educated and comfortable.

HEARING AID
Fitting & Programming

Hearing aids are not a one size fits all solution. There are different styles and levels of technology now available. Using the results of your hearing test, along with your personal preferences, we will help you choose a hearing aid that best matches your lifestyle.

The hearing aids you choose will be professionally fit to your unique ear shape, so they sit comfortably yet securely in/around your ear. Dr. Emberlin will then program them using the manufacturer’s software to ensure the hearing aids are providing you with the right amount of amplification and clarity.

Ear Mold Impressions

We can make custom ear mold impressions of your ear canal for optimally fit hearing aids or hearing protection. The process is quick and painless, a soft silicon material is gently placed into the ear and allowed to set for a few minutes, capturing the exact shape and contours of the ear.

Cerumen Management

Cerumen, commonly known as earwax, is a natural part of healthy ears. However, sometimes earwax can build-up in the ear canal and become impacted, causing irritation, itchiness, and muffled hearing.

If clogged ears due to earwax are bothering you, we can help. We can safely and gently flush your ears to remove excess earwax. Leaving you feeling – and hearing – your best again.

Tinnitus Assessment

Have you ever heard a ringing in your ears that seems to come and go? This is known as tinnitus. Tinnitus can present itself as a buzzing, humming, ringing, or whistling sound in the head or ears. These phantom sounds can range in volume, pitch, and frequency.

If you have noticed bothersome tinnitus that is affecting your quality of life, a tinnitus test is the first step to finding relief. We offer comprehensive audiological evaluations to determine what the cause of your tinnitus is and the best treatment plan.

Lenire Tinnitus Technology

We are excited to offer Lenire, a groundbreaking tinnitus treatment device approved by the U.S. FDA. Using bimodal stimulation, Lenire combines soundscapes through wireless headphones and tongue pulses customized to your hearing profile to help your brain stop focusing on tinnitus.

With just two relaxing 30-minute sessions per day, Lenire can decrease your perception of tinnitus over time. Out of 500+ patients across three clinical trials, 83% would recommend Lenire to others with tinnitus.

Custom Hearing Protection

Custom hearing protection is essential for anyone who spends time outdoors, especially hunters, sport shooters, and those who enjoy Montana’s many recreational activities. Unlike standard earplugs, custom ear protection is molded to fit the unique shape of your ear, providing a comfortable, secure seal that blocks harmful noise while still allowing you to hear important sounds, such as voices or game movement. These custom solutions help prevent permanent hearing damage caused by repeated exposure to gunfire or other loud environmental sounds.

Whether you’re out hunting, riding ATVs, or attending outdoor events, custom hearing protection ensures your ears are safe without sacrificing awareness of your surroundings.
